Alluring folk-pop songstress, Jackie Daum, tantalizes listeners with haunting melodies and well-crafted, lyric-driven songs that are both visceral and introspective. With a dynamic voice that seems to emanate from the soul, Daum has been garnering eager fans all over California.

In 2003, just a year after completing her Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering from California State University, Chico, Daum released a self-produced demo, Parasol, on her own San Diego-based label, Iris Lane Records. Garden of Eden, a tale of two surreptitious lovers that venture to the wilderness to make love, and Parasol, a visionary song that forebodes the slow destruction of the earth (Vast fields of golden grain/ Lined the streets left and right/ John Deere is raping Mother Earth/ Now She's losing the fight), are both receiving airplay on 88.9 KUSP Santa Cruz.

A Northern California native, Jackie Daum began songwriting and performing open mics in the Sacramento area during her high school years. Although trained in classical piano and vocal performance, Daum's songwriting relies on sundry influences, including Jeff Buckley, Me'Shell Ndegeocello, Ani DiFranco, and Martin Sexton. While attending college in Chico, Daum sang lead and backing vocals for a 70's funk cover band, appropriately named, Loose Booty.

In 2002, Daum migrated to Southern California to pursue a solo career. Accompanying herself on both piano and guitar, and backed by guitarist/producer, Griff Peters, Jackie Daum has quickly permeated the San Diego and Los Angeles music scenes. Currently, Jackie is working on recording/producing her debut full-length album due in 2005.
